Falcon Class have had a busy start to the year. We have been exploring our circulatory system. We have investigated how exercise affects our pulse rate, made hearts from clay and created our own blood!

Catching Some Air

Red Kite class have enjoyed travelling to the Oxford Academy to take part in P.E lessons taught by specialist coaches. They not only get to use some fantastic sports equipment, but it is also heaps of fun. Trampolining is our new favourite sport! We have been perfecting our tuck, pike and straddle jumps and have now progressed on to seat drops.

In today’s maths lesson in The Nest we were weighing different objects using cubes as non-standard measures. We predicted how many cubes we thought it would take to balance the scales, and then we tested our predictions. Who knew learning could be so much fun.

30th January 2018

James from Falcon class was lucky enough to be invited on a full week’s residential with his integration school. This is in preparation for James transitioning back to mainstream education when he leaves us at the end of the academic year. As you can see from the photos, he enjoyed an action packed week and made some great friends in the process.
