Football Crazy

To celebrate the FIFA World Cup in Russia, the pupils in The Nest have enjoyed completing a cross-curricular project to design and build their very own blow-football stadium.

Bounce, Bounce, BOUNCE!

 A group of very sensible children were rewarded for all their hard work and progress over the year, by being taken for a jump around at Rebound Revolution! The children had an absolute blast bouncing, climbing and dancing... and even - outrageously - pushed Miss Morgan in to the foam pit!

SATs Results 2018

Book Worms

Our volunteer librarian, Nesha, has done a wonderful job of breathing life into the large collection of books we have in school. She has worked wonders to make the relocated library a warm and welcoming space to enjoy and borrow stories

 Now that summer is here we have been making the most of the public park behind the school to stage some rounders tournaments.

13th June 2018

On Wednesday 13th June, all KS1 and Lower KS2 classes enjoyed a day at 'Cotswold Wildlife Park', courtesy of The Oxford Rotary Club. The weather was kind and the pupils enjoyed seeing a large variety of different species. Highlights included the gangly giraffes and the playful wolves. The pupils also enjoyed a picnic on the lawn and had fun on the excellent adventure playground.

8th June 2018

On the morning of Tuesday 5th June, our pupils got stuck into some gardening, mainly clearing weeds, but also doing some re potting as well as planting. We even discovered a bed of strawberries which had lain dormant and are hoping to reap a good crop next year. We were ably assisted by four parent volunteers, to whom we are very grateful. If you have not yet had the joy of getting involved in Northern House Oxford events and activities, we invite you to consider doing so as we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers, whether you are a parent or someone from the community looking to have a positive impact on the lives of our wonderful pupils.

11th May 2018

The children in Wren Class have had some special visitors for the past 10 days – 8 live chicks! They arrived as eggs in an incubator and the children watched them slowly peck away at their shells to enter the world to applause and smiles. Not only are the chicks super fluffy, but they are also super cute. The pupils have gone on to learn about the life cycle of chickens and are currently contemplating the age old question of what came first: the chicken or the egg?
