Chaffinch Investigate Gravitational Force 

In Science, Chaffinch class have been investigating gravitational force. We dropped different objects and measured the 'crater' they created. We linked this to the craters that we see on Earth and on the Moon. Next we are investigating the effect of friction.

Science Talk at St Edwards School

Some Year 6 pupils enjoyed a Christmas Science talk at St Edwards. We explored the Science behind convection and conduction, linking it to Ghost Busters. We also had demonstrations linked to forces - thinking about whether someone could be knocked over by a snow ball. We enjoyed the session and thank St Edwards for the invitation.

Chaffinch Trampoline Session

Chaffinch class have been enjoying their trampoline sessions at Oxford Academy this term. They have listened carefully to instructions, been excellent spotters and very supportive of each other.

Meeting Minibeasts

Uppers enjoyed a visit from Zoolab. We learnt about the classification of animals and some interesting facts about each species. Some people were brave enough to hold or stoke the beasts!

Gala Awards Ceremony

We have started the new school year on a high note by receiving an award from the Oxfordshire Music Service in recognition of a project run in June.
Ashley from Osprey Class, Mr Moar, who helped organise the project, and Mr Willis collected the award from the Mayor of Oxford in front of a crowd of 300 people at the county music service hub.
